Marolyn Komperud
Program Director
I have been the Program Director for our Family Resource Center since 2006 and
hold a Bachelor of Social Work Degree with a focus on children and youth
from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
Prior to working for the Family Resource Center, I was a Child Protective Services Investigator for the
State of Wisconsin in Milwaukee for six years. I am a lifelong
resident of East Troy and a graduate of East Troy High School.
I am married to my husband, Scott Komperud and we have two children, Kiley &
Conner. I am a past recipient of the East Troy Community School
District and East Troy Area Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award. I was an active Girl Scout leader for thirteen years and I am an active member of the
Kiwanis Club of Greater East Troy.
Stephanie Tuyls
Board President &
Chair of the Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair
I have been a part of the Family Community Resource Center since about 2010. When I joined, I was looking to meet new people and learn more about the small community I was a part of. I have since been able to be part of many amazing experiences in my time on the Board and hope to see many more continue. I enjoy the activities that people look forward to year after year, seeing smiles on the kid's faces and bringing joy to those who need it. I think this is why I have decided to be a part of it as long as I have, even when we tried living outside of East Troy. I firmly believe this tie is what brought us back here to look for our forever home, the small tie to this community. It was a small reminder of why I love this community and want to continue to be a part of it and watch it grow.
I am married to my best friend Dale, and we share 4 amazing kids together. We have a busy household filled with all sorts of kids’ activities, 3 dogs; Bella, Olivia, and Rocko, along with 2 cats; Peanut and Simba. I like to think we live for being busy and filled with a bit of chaos.
I work full-time in the medical field in medical education, so not necessarily shaping young minds, but young adult minds. I am the “mom boss” to Family Medicine Residents who are becoming the doctors of our future.
In my free time, you can find me supporting my kids in their extracurricular activities, bowling, enjoying our family pool when Wisconsin weather allows, on our patio, or just being with my friends and family.
Beth Keizer
Board Vice President
I am a long-time resident of East Troy. My family moved to Timber-lee Christian Center in 1979 when I was 9 years old. I grew up in the East Troy School District and am a Class of 1987 ETHS Grad. After high school, I married the love of my life, John. He was from Delavan, so I was away from East Troy for a while enjoying the farm life with him. After his death, I moved with my kids, Tyler (Class of 2011) and Dena (Class of 2012) back to East Troy.
I love East Troy and all that we have to offer. I love to see our quaint little town grow! There is so much hustle and bustle all year long.
I am the Branch Manager of the East Brook Branch of Citizens Bank located in the East Brook Plaza at the east end of town.
Marolyn Komperud came in one day to ask me to consider joining the East Troy Family & Community Resouce Center Board. I read the materials she gave me and attended the next meeting to see and hear what they were all about. By the end of the meeting, I had made my decision to join. I have been a board member since 2018. I enjoy being with a group that loves to help the community. I enjoy planning and participating in our fundraising events. My favorite is our annual auction.
When I’m not working or volunteering for various events, I enjoy time with my family. My parents are snowbirds, so I try to get to Florida a couple times a year. I love to laugh my way through game nights and be swept away through movies.

I have been a dedicated volunteer with the Family Resource Center since 2008, proudly serving in every board role from member to President. One of my favorite annual events to help organize is the Craft Fair we host every December, which brings the community together in a wonderful way.
Volunteering is truly a core part of who I am, and beyond the Resource Center, you’ll often find me supporting various organizations in East Troy and at Riverbend Campground, where my family enjoys our permanent vacation spot.
My husband Matt and I moved to East Troy in 2001, and although we now technically reside in Elkhorn since relocating behind Alpine Valley in 2020, we still proudly call East Troy home. We have three wonderful children — our oldest graduated from East Troy High School in 2022, and our youngest is set to graduate in 2027. Our household includes two dogs and two cats (though the number tends to change over time!). I am also a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and breast cancer support.
Professionally, I work full-time on the East Troy Square as a State Farm agent, where I help people manage their everyday risks by providing personalized insurance solutions. I truly enjoy working with and assisting others in protecting what matters most to them — and you might often hear me singing throughout the day, as I love bringing a little extra joy and energy to the office.
In my free time, I love exploring new places through travel, and while I’m not an expert, I enjoy bowling as a fun pastime. During the summer months, you’ll likely find me camping nearly every weekend, embracing the great outdoors and making lasting memories with family and friends.

I have lived in East Troy since 2005. I have 3 children, Sophia, Silas and George. Sophia and Silas both graduated from East Troy High School, and George is currently attending Prairie View Elementary.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Florida. I had planned on going on to get my Master's in Speech Pathology, but life has a funny way of steering us in other directions. I met my husband Jody during a summer in college at a summer camp in Missouri, and almost 30 years later, we are still at camp.
I served as an elementary library aide at both Little Prairie Primary and Prairie View Elementary for several years, before stepping back last year and joining my husband full-time at Edwards YMCA Camp. I was an active Girl Scout Leader for 8 years and served as the Treasurer for the East Troy All Sports Booster Club for 6 years. I look forward to being a part of the East Troy Family Resource Center as I have seen for years the positive effects it has had on our community.
